The second day we were in Niagara On The Lake, Klay and I decided to continue wandering the streets and do some wine tasting. Normally, when you think Niagara On The Lake wine tasting, you think wineries. Yes, wineries are bountiful in the area (and we’ll get to one we visited in part 4), but you can also do some wine tasting right on the main street!
We couldn’t resist popping into Wine Country Vintners to taste some local wines, and spirits. The Wayne Gretzky Winery and Craft Distillery is opening to the public soon, but we were able to taste some of the wines in this boutique; and ending up buying a bottle of Merlot that had hints of red berries and cherry.
I also fell in love with the pretty pink packaging of the Trius Brut Rose. It’s the perfect bubbly for a girls night in/out – think aromas of raspberry, sour cherry, strawberry-rhubarb, apple and a hint of brioche.
Like you saw from part 1 of my Niagara On The Lake getaway, the tulips were in full bloom, and breathtaking doesn’t even begin to describe them. I hope you enjoy this next photo series of my travel diary.
