I took photos of this outfit when there were still leaves on the ground, but given that I’d still wear this exact same look right now (with or without snow on the ground), I knew I couldn’t keep it from you. Any chance I can get to share some great outfit ideas with you, I will; because that’s what friends do!
So whether you take outfit ideas inspiration from this blog post on what to wear for fall or winter, you will have something stylish to wear – if I do say so myself. You can even wear this outfit into spring if you opt for a similar but lightweight coat; like a camel trench coat.
I fell in love with this chambray shirt the moment I tried it on; thanks to the pretty ruffle collar and the neck tie you can make into a bow. If you saw this blog post you already know much I love when I can tie things into a bow. It’s such a fresh take on the classic chambray shirt, and I couldn’t pass it up.
To add to the feminine flare of the top, I paired it with my front button up skirt, and blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC handbag. I also think that the blues of all three pieces compliment each other so well.
Normally I would with a neutral shoe for this look – or even a blue pair to keep with the colour theme – but I decided to have some fun and try this look with burgundy over the knee boots. I really like how it turned out and would definitely repeat this combination. This is the perfect example as to why we have to take chances with our outfit ideas and try something new – you may fall in love with the unexpected.
